Russell Wilson’s position as the quarterback of the Seattle Seahawks may have inspired one of his wife Ciara’s Met Gala outfits, but fashion comes and goes. Naming a dog? That’s forever.

Perhaps it’s an omen, then, that the Wilson family named its new puppy after its new home team.

“Meet… BRONCO,” Ciara posted with a video on Instagram Monday. “The kids call her Bronco Love Brownie.”

This isn’t the first time a Broncos quarterback has named their pooch after the team mascot. After Tim Tebow was drafted by the Denver Broncos in 2010, he was gifted a Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy that he also named Bronco. (That Bronco passed away in 2019.)
