Warm and sunny weather is returning to the Denver area Wednesday after a week of storms and clouds, the National Weather Service said.

A high of 71 degrees is expected to come with winds between 11 to 16 mph, gusting as high as 24 mph.

The weather is expected to stay sunny and warm Thursday, reaching a high of 82 degrees. Similar weather is expected Friday, reaching an expected 88 degrees, before a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon.
